Meet the Tree Experts
Founded in 2014 by ISA Certified Arborists Lucas Mahal and John Stuve, Tree Savvy LLC has focused on raising the standards of tree care in the Chippewa Valley, working toward a healthier, thriving, and sustainable urban forest.
Luke Mahal
Lucas Mahal obtained his degree in Forestry and Wildlife in 1999 from Vermilion Community College after which he immediately began working in the arboricultural field. Through his dedication to creating and preserving a sustainable urban forest for future generations, Lucas routinely pursues new and updated information about the industry, while educating members of the community and encouraging his employees to continue their education. Lucas took full ownership of Tree Savvy LLC in 2018, rapidly expanding the list of services offered, with the goal of Tree Savvy LLC becoming the premier tree care company in western Wisconsin.
John Stuve
John Stuve, who became the lead salesperson in 2018, began working in the arboricultural field in 1993. The following year in 1994, John obtained his degree in Urban Forestry from UW-Stevens Point. Driven by the legacy his father left behind after planting over 150,000 trees throughout his life, John strives to educate and promote up-to-date tree care standards, ensuring each tree he visits has a chance to thrive and positively affect those around it.
