Wages are based on experience, skill, and credentials: starting at $20/hour up to $32/hour!

Job duties: 

• Production Arborist
  • Climb and operate aerial lifts to perform standard arboricultural services; tree pruning and removal
  • Operate ground-based machinery such as mini-skid steers and articulating swing loaders
  • Installation of supplemental tree support systems
  • Stump grinding

• Plant Health Care Technician
  • Combat and protect against the infestation of pests and diseases in our urban forest
  • Keep our trees healthy and thriving
  • Perform root collar excavations
  • Nutrient resource management through taking soil samples and fertilization

• Tree Planting Specialist
  • Plant trees using conventional nursery stock and the Tree Savvy planting method
  • Educate clients on post-planting aftercare

• Snow Plowing

Credentials:

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL):
  • Required to obtain their class A CDL within 6 months of their hiring date – paid for by Tree Savvy LLC

• Pesticide Applicators License:
  • The 3.0 and 6.0 licenses are required for hires interested in performing PHC services – paid for by Tree Savvy LLC

• Arborist Certification:
  • The International Society of Arboriculture offers certification for those working in the green industry. Eligibility for the arborist certification varies based on one’s college education or work history. Once eligible, employees are required to obtain the credential within 6 months.
